KCYVP case managers will lead a series of hiking trips to various trails around Puget Sound.  All food and supplies will be provided.

If you’ve never been hiking, this is a great way to experience nature and get a light, fun workout in.  All KCYVP youth who complete at least five hikes will receive a $50 stipend for their participation.  Talk to your individual case manager for more details.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to cut hair or give somebody a fresh line up, then we’ve got a super dope program for you.  The KCYVP team is currently accepting applications for our first ever Fresh 4 Life Youth Barber Program.

In this program, you will learn all of these valuable employability and life skills below from experienced barbers:

• Cutting/Fading/Blending
• Lineups
• Safety and Sanitation
• Marketing/Outreach
• Client/Customer Service

Use what you learn to keep yourself fresh or explore a possible career option.

All participants who fully complete the program will receive their very own Fresh 4 Life barber starter kit that includes a professional hair clipper and outline trimmer along with other necessities like a cape, brushes, and disinfectant spray.

We invite you the 4th Annual Peace n The Hood 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at the White Center Teen Program – The Log Cabin.  From 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, come hoop or hang out!

New this year will be the on-site job fair with employers from several companies on hand to answer questions and accept applications.  Some may offer on-the-spot positions to applicants.

As always, there will be a bunch of dope raffle prizes for everyone who signs in.

Lots of FREE food, prizes, and entertainment.
